My parents have been working on Jackson's nursery at their house the last few weeks. Last weekend, they worked on the letters above the crib. Isn't it cute? They are working on window treatments this weekend. I'll send more pics later.

Kind of a crazy Wednesday!
We have another ice day here in Dallas. It's nice to get to sleep in but I wish we got a little more snow and a little less ice and sleet! But, it is a very exciting day for the Solomon family because Russell is flying home tonight. He has been in Arizona since January 5th. Luckily his flight lands at 6:45 and the roads will be all clear by then. He has not seen my expanding belly in several weeks so I think he is in for a surprise. Jackson is also moving more than ever. Last night I was watching (not just feeling) him move around in my belly. I also can't wait to show Russell the new things Jackson has gotten in the last few weeks, especially the nursery bedding and giraffe. Russell will also be happy to come home to a very clean house. Since I can't get out, I have no excuses!

Baby bedding
Today, I finally ordered the nursery furniture and I am so excited. I had seen the furniture in Austin so I waited to return to McKinney before ordering. When I got to the store, the display had the baby bedding I ordered displayed on my crib. It was so cute and confirmed it was meant to be! I had a request for the bedding name. It is Jungle Tales by Nojo.

Jackson's nursery
Last weekend, when my mom and I were shopping for the nursery, I had a reality check. One of the salespeople told me some of the nursery furniture could take16 weeks to order. I thought, "16 weeks?!?!" Baby Jackson will be here in less than 15!
So, after much indecisiveness, I have finally ordered the baby bedding for Jackson's nursery. I am really excited about it! Also, I have picked out the nursery furniture and I hope to order it this weekend. Most importantly, today I went and picked up the 5 foot tall plush giraffe that Russell liked so much. This giraffe was the inspiration for Jackson's jungle themed nursery. (Maggie was not so sure about the giraffe at first but after a few minutes she was okay with him!)
We are very excited about the progress being made on the nursery and we can't wait for the finished product!

Just an update
It has been a while since I last wrote. There is not much to update. Russell was in Arizona this weekend. He was sick last week but was feeling better. He played golf on Saturday and said the course was amazing. I left for Austin on Thursday and have spent the weekend at my parents. I go back to McKinney tomorrow since we have the day off. As usual, we have had a great weekend - lots of shopping and good food. My mom and I looked at baby furniture and baby bedding. I thought I had made at least one decision - the baby bedding. Now, I think I have changed my mind on that. While shopping this weekend, I found a bedding that I liked better. I had seen this bedding online before but it was so much cuter (and softer) in person. For those who have not experienced pregnancy, beware of the indecisiveness that goes along with it! I hope everyone has a great week and I haven't forgotten about posting my 6 month pic.

6 months pregnant . . . and we have a name!
Today, I am 6 months pregnant! Russell is out-of-town so my my friend, Kelly, took my 6 months picture at work this morning. Unfortunately, I can't download it at the moment so the picture will have to follow.
Many people have been asking if we have decided on a name. We have. It is Jackson Andrew Solomon. Andrew is my dad's middle name, my brother's middle name, and Russell's uncle's name. As for Jackson, Russell liked the name and it is sentimental since it is where Russell and I met. We plan to call our baby boy Jackson but some people have said that they will call him Jack, including my Aunt Mona. She will call him Jack after her husband, my Uncle Jack.

A few Christmas pics
Here are a few belated Christmas pics. Most are self explanatory. There is a pics of Russell with our niece, Morgan. And, there are some pics of Baby Solomon's Christmas gifts. One of our favorite was the red tractor sleeper and matching bid. Russell's mom got them specially made to be like Case red tractors. We can't wait for Baby to wear them.

New Years Recap
We spent New Year's Eve with Wes and Kate Truett watching the LSU game. Kate is an even bigger LSU fan than I am (if you can eve imagine) so we get along very well! As you can see, Wes and Kate really liked Maggie.
On New Year's Day we watched bowl games and went to lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant. That night we went into downtown Dallas to meet up with some of Russell's Ole Miss friends who were in town celebrating the Cotton Bowl. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera. I am certain I could have gotten some good pics.
