Kicking off Annabelle's Birthday week!

The weekend before Annabelle's 1st birthday, we did just what she loves. We gave her lots of quality time with her 3 favorite people and favorite dog! Here are the kiddos on Sunday morning. Jackson even drove us home from church (well part of the way)!

More sweet babies

Last week when Annabelle was recovering from her bug, we were eating dinner. Annabelle didn't eat much and got down from her highchair quickly. She crawled around while Jackson and I finished eating. Jackson was concerned because Annabelle barely touched her dinner. He didn't want her to be hungry so he was trying to feed Annabelle his dinner. She wasn't interested. I told Jackson that it was okay and explained that Annabelle's tummy hurt. He looked at me and said in a serious tone, "I can kiss it." So sweet. He knows his kisses always make Mommy feel better so why not Annabelle!

Daddy's home!!!

Last week, Russell was out of town for 6 days! I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous before he left. But, things went so well! I got lots of pics of Annabelle. I know I am going to hear "where was Jackson?" Annabelle woke up early every morning so we had plenty of time to hang out. Boo, the lucky little rascal, slept in everyday despite going to bed at his bedtime. Nevertheless, in our early morning hours, Annabelle and I had a good time. Here she is calling Da Da to see when he is coming home. Below I was pushing her around on her princess ride.

Our little princess

Annabelle is becoming such a little girl. She likes dolls, her tea set and even her girly accessories. Daddy calls her "princess" and that is just what she is.

Sweet babies!

Russell and I talk about how lucky we are. I think we have the sweetest babies in the world. Annabelle is smitten with her big brother and Jackson is such a sweetheart. Miss Erin says Jackson talks about Annabelle all day long and when you ask him who his best friend is, he says "Annabelle." What about Mommy?!? I am just kidding. I wouldn't want it any other way!

The road to recovery . . .

We are finally getting back to normal. Two weeks ago, Jackson had the stomach bug. Luckily, he got over it really quickly. But, this past week, I got sick. I never went to the doctor but it seemed to me that I had the flu, turned into stomach bug, turned into a cold. Not Fun! Then, Thursday afternoon, Annabelle got sick at school. Miss Priss doesn't seem to have her appetite back yet but she is definitely feeling better. So glad this is almost over!

Go Saints!

Well, the LSU season didn't end quite as we would have liked but it was fun while it lasted. They had an undefeated season and they are the SEC champs. The good news, LSU is young and is already predicted as the #1 team going into next year. As for now, I guess we will be cheering for the Saints!

Trains, trains and more trains

Morning, noon, or night at our house, we are playing with trains. Jackson got three train sets for Christmas along with trains books and toys so we are never at a loss for a toy. On Saturday, daddy took Jackson to the toy store to find a few new pieces to add to his Thomas the Train set. Then we he got sick on Sunday, daddy went back for another train to cheer Jackson up. I've got such sweet boys!

Annabelle's first pasta dinner

Before the holidays, I decided Sunday night would be pasta night. Jackson loves spaghetti so I thought this was a good idea. With the holidays, we got off track. Sunday night, we started the tradition back up. I made two kinds of ravioli and, this time, Annabelle ate with us. She loves to try anything we are eating. She gets mad if we pull out a jar of baby food. Hope she likes spaghetti as much as her brother! I think she does!

She's got the groove!

Russell bought Jackson the movie "Rio." He put it on for him to watch. Annabelle heard the fun music and kept sneaking off to get a peek of the movie. She LOVES music and then she will start to move her arms along with the tunes. So cute!

Parent's Day Out

Yesterday, Russell and I went to the Texas Tech basketball game with the Leach's (sort of a late b'day celebration for Russell). We sat in the suite which is always a good time. Afterwards we went to a local favorite, Chimy's for margaritas, nachos and to watch part of the Texans/Cincinnati playoff game. We had a blast!

There was no rest for the weary. When we got home, the kiddos from next door wanted to come over and play. Russell had just as much fun as the kids.

Today has not been quite as fun. I woke up early to make a big breakfast before church. Jackson was eating slowly and started to cry. I looked up and he had gotten sick. Poor baby! He is doing really well, though. Other than they moments he is having the obvious stomach bug symptoms, he seems to be feeling fine. He just wants to play with his train set. This morning, Russell snuck off to the store for Powerade for Jackson and he got him another train to add to his collection. It was a train Jackson had been wanting. It was nice to see my sick baby so happy!
