Saturday night we went to Dave and Busters to visit my good friend and sorority big sis and her family. Her babies are close in age to ours so we had a great time. Jackson and Miller became fast friends and Annabelle hit it off with Edie. I think Russell had the most fun of everyone. He was really into all the games and toys. It was so good to see Jean and her family!
We heard about a new playground and splashpad that is close to out house. We checked it out not once but twice last week. Gotta love these activity centers! It makes bed time a breeze!
Last Friday afternoon, Jackson and I went on a waterpark playdate with Tyson and her mom. The four of us had a great time. We spent lots of time in the kiddy section of the waterpark but Jackson's favorite part was the wave pool. We will definitely have to go back and take Daddy and Annabelle!Last week, Jackson went to Vacation Bible School and he LOVED it. On the last day, they had a performance for the families. Annabelle and I got their early so we could get a front row seat. In this video, they were just practicing. It is a little dark but luckily Jackson had on a white shirt so he is easy to spot. We are so proud of our sweet boy!

Annabelle is becoming a little jabberbox. In the video she is saying "please" and even throws in a "dog." Of course, she started with momma and dada but one her her first words was "shh!" I think she heard us say "shh" to Maggie a few too many times. When Maggie would bark, Annabelle would "shh" her. Not so nice for poor Maggie but it was pretty darn cute.
Annabelle also likes to say "cheese!" when I pull out the camera. I'm sure there are a few that I am missing but it seems like she is adding a new word almost everyday.
On Saturday, we tried out another waterpark. It was FUN! It is bigger than the aquatic center but it is still small enough to feel comfortable with the smaller kiddos. They had a lazy river, which I love. We went around the lazy river as a family at least five times. Jackson and Annabelle's favorite part is the water slide. Jackson even went down one of the bigger slides. He was a little scared at first but he did it. So proud!
This morning, the kiddos and I went to try out the Gymboree Play and Music. They had a blast. The theme today was horses. All the fun wore them out! 
Santa brought Jackson the Lightening McQueen car and on the Fourth of July he finally decided to drive it (or maybe that is when he finally got the nerve to drive it). Nevertheless, he has put the petal to the metal and he has not stopped driving since. Last weekend, we were having a rode rally in the cul-de-sac and we meet Tyson a little girl in the neighborhood. She is 4 but as it turns out, her and Jackson will be in the same class for Kindergarten (and maybe preschool depending on where we put Jackson). They had a great time playing. We all exchanged contact info so we are looking forward to a playdate very soon!
