This past week, LSU won the College World Series! I told you, Jackson is LSU's good luck charm! They won the first national title game that Jackson ever watched! Here he is dressed in his LSU clothes.

Just a growing boy!

Jackson has made tons of progress in the sleep department over the last week or so! Since last Thursday, he has been sleeping through the night!!! That is a huge accomplishment. The first night it happened, I woke up at 4:45. I was so shocked, I immediately woke up Russell and got him to check on Jackson. Of course, he was snoozing away. (He is still in the room with us but that is working out fine.) He is sleeping from about 10:30 to 5:30 give or take. Luckily, when he wakes up for his morning feeding he is falling back asleep really easily.
Another big step is that Jackson slept in his pack-n-play. He had been sleeping in his swing, a habit we knew we would have to break.
A third accomplishment, is that Jackson and I took a 1 1/2 hour nap together on Tuesday! He usually sleeps for such brief periods that I never get to join in on nap time. I think he likes to cuddle so we napped together on the couch. I know, it's probably not a good habit but it worked. He was so comfy he slept another 30 minutes after I woke up.
Let's hope our progress continues!!

Date night

Friday night before Jackson's Baptism, Russell and I went to dinner with our parents to celebrate Jackson's Baptism. It was the first night we have been out without our Baby Boy! Thanks to Granny for watching Jackson!

Jackson's Baptism

Our family on Jackson's special day.

Jackson and his Godparents

Here is Jackson with my Aunt Mona and Uncle Jack. They are my Godparents and they will be Jackson's Godparents.

Jackson's Baptism Ceremony

Family pics at the Baptism

We took tons of family pics after Jackson's Baptism. Here are just a few. Isn't the pic with the babies cute? That is Anna, Jackson's second cousin. She just turned 8 months old and Jackson almost weighs as much as she does! She sure liked Jackson!

The celebration after the Baptism

After the Baptism, we had everyone over to celebrate. Russell got to open Jackson's gifts. I had to take pics of the table because I worked hard on all the goodies (with some help)!

Happy Belated Father's Day!

Okay, so I have been terrible about posting pics the last week! Things have been crazy busy for us. Over the weekend we celebrated Jackson's Baptism, Father's Day, and my dad's birthday. Last week I was preparing for the Baptism and the guests we had coming to town. I will post those pics soon and give all the details. As for now, Jackson needs me! Gotta go!

6 week check-up

So, yesterday I had my 6 week check-up and everything is good! Our next doctor visit is for Jackson's two month check-up. I am already dreading it because my baby will have to get his shots!

Where are some pics?!?

Ugh! I left the cord that lets me download pictures onto the computer in Austin. Jackson and I went to stay with Mimi and Poppy while Russell flew to Atlanta for training. Not to worry, Mimi and Poppy are coming to McKinney on Friday so I will post pics then. For now, I will take lots of pics.

A tiger is born!

This weekend, LSU beat Rice to make it to the College World Series. Also, this weekend, my parents came to visit. They did not come empty handed. They brought Jackson more LSU clothes. They also brought him some really cute pool toys and a Winnie the Pooh pool floatie. (I didn't tell my mom but I think he is too small to get into the floatie for now.) We were going to take him to the pool to try out his toys but we didn't get around to it. Nevertheless, I am sure we will play with his pool toys soon enough!

Although Jackson slept on his Poppy for most of the game, I am certain he will be a huge Tiger fan!

First Bottle

We made it almost six weeks without a bottle. I did not want to give him a bottle but my mom and Russell wanted me to try it. They want to be able to give me a little break and I am sure they want to feed him, too. On Saturday, we gave him his first bottle. The bottle is breastmilk, not formula. I am really glad we finally did it. On Sunday, we were able to go to church and brunch without having to breastfeed because we carried a bottle with us. It was really nice to let someone else feed my little guy!

Our little Alfalfa!

So, at first, I refused to use the pacifier until I was sure we had breastfeeding down. I just couldn't bear the thought of my little sweetie sucking on a pacifier when he was hungry thinking he was going to get some milk! Now, I let him have the pacifier only after I know he is full. He likes the pacifier sometimes but he is definitely not dependant on it. When he wants to pacifier he will sometimes hold it in his mouth. It's so cute.
