Annabelle's first day in her new class

Today, Annabelle starts her new class. She is starting a month early because she is so advanced. She holds her color. She actually loves to color. She is running and clapping with the music. She loves to dance. We are so proud of her. She actually went to visit the new class last week and the teachers said she did great. No tears! This morning, Russell took her and again, no tears. They do have some pretty fabulous toys in her new class so I am sure that helps.

This morning, she was feeding her baby doll a bottle. It was so cute. Every few seconds, she would take a bite of the bottle herself. So sweet!
I took this pic on her last day of her old class. This is her teacher, Miss Paige who we loved. She was so good with the kiddos and she loves Annabelle. I am glad Miss Paige is right across the hall so she can still see Annabelle.

Happy 3rd Birthday Jackson

Today is Jackson's 3rd Birthday. We started celebrating yesterday when Russell and I surprised him in class with cupcakes. It was after nap time so he wasn't quite awake. By the time he woke up, he was super excited and helped daddy blow out his candle. We even got to see Miss Erin, his favorite teacher and our babysitter on the way out. After the class birthday party, we took Jackson to the store to pick out birthday balloons.
Last night, Mimi, Poppy, Uncle Chris and Bella flew into town to help him celebrate his big day. This morning, I went to the donut shop for his favorite breakfast which is chocolate covered donut holes with sprinkles. After breakfast, Jackson got to open one of his big presents. He got a workbench from Mimi and Poppy. Now, he and Poppy are putting it together.
Happy 3rd Birthday to our sweet Jackson. We can't wait to celebrate all weekend with family and friends!

Pizza and champagne

We have some BIG news. We are moving! Russell got a promotion with his company and we are moving back to Dallas. Actually, we plan to move back to McKinney which we loved the year we lived there. We are super excited and looking forward to raising our precious pumpkins there. McKinney was actually ranked one of the top places to raise a family after we moved. But, that didn't suprise us at all.

So, our lives have been chaotic lately. Russell is working both jobs for the month of April. On top of that, we have had our house on the market. Who has tried to sell a house with a one year old, a two year old and a dog? Total drama. I have never seen so many messes. Oh, and both my kiddos and the dog came down with the stomach bug.

Luckily, we got an offer on our house after it was on the market for 12 days! 12 days felt like months with the chaos but, nevertheless, it is under contract and we are headed to McKinney next weekend to go house hunting. We really are thrilled to get back and we are hoping to find a house with lots of space for our family. I never realized how such little people could take over so much space!

So, today we finalized the sale of our Lubbock house and celebrated with homemade pizza, champagne, and milk. Even Maggie got a few bites!

Flying a kite and playing with a little ladybug

A little weekend fun . . . we (attempted) to fly a kite. I think we picked the least windy day we have had in a while. The kids loved chasing after Daddy. Jackson and Annabelle also love playing in Jackson's closet. I had to squeeze in to take a pic. I also took a few pics of our little ladybug playing on her princess car on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

A few more pics from our playdate

Annabelle and the Slide

Thursday night, Rick and Russell went to play golf so Amanda and I had a pizza party with the kids.  We were in the playroom when, all of a sudden, Annabelle climbed up the slide and slid down.  She did it again and again.  We were very impressed!

Home recovering

Our precious Annabelle is home and recovering from her second ear tubes surgery. She and Jackson had a great time playing with each other (and the nurses) while we were waiting this morning. I am so glad we went ahead with the surgery because the doctor said her ears were very infected. Baby girl is napping now but when she wakes up she should be feeling much better!
