December 22nd

We made it! It was a long drive but well worth it. When we got to Austin, the kids went on a wagon ride. When the sun went down, we headed to Zilker Park to check out some Chrismtas lights. Jackson LOVES Christmas lights!

December 23rd

Annabelle spent the day hanging out at Mimi and Poppy's house. Jackson and Mimi went to the movies. In the afternoon, mommy and daddy snuck out to do a little shopping for themselves! We are so lucky, Mimi and Poppy even babysat while we had a dinner and movie date.

Christmas Eve

Ready to party . . .

Mesmerized by Uncle Chris.

Too much excitement for these two. They passed out while watching Cars 2.

Ready for church but not wanting to wear her red shoes.

Setting out cookies and milk for Santa. Jackson even wrote Santa a special letter.

Christmas morning!

Not sure how Santa fit all these goodies in his sleigh. Guess that is why it is magic! Checking out all the goodies . . .

Annabelle's first ride.

Grandma Barbara and Annabelle helped me distribute all the gifts while Mimi made breakfast and the boys went outside to let Jackson ride in his new car.

Here is Jackson in his new LSU recliner about to rip into his gifts. My initial goal was for us to take turns opening gifts so we could see what everyone got. We quickly realized, that would take all day!

Christmas Day

On Christmas Day, Aunt Mona, Uncle Jack, John, Kelly, Lucas and Anna came to visit. Jackson and Anna had a blast playing and putting new toys together. Annabelle had some good bonding time with Aunt Mona. It was so good to see them!

December 26th

The day after Christmas, we headed to Marble Falls for dinner and to check out their Christmas lights display. Here is Annabelle hanging with Uncle Chris before we left. Uncle Chris loves his niece and nephew. He came to visit and play with them everyday while we were in Austin.

Thanks Mimi and Poppy for the magical Christmas!!!

Riding toys

I took SO many pics of the kiddos on riding toys that it needed its own post!

I could have danced all night . . .

Fearless Miss Priss!

Racecar Riding!

Racecar Riding 2!

Christmas morning!

On Christmas Eve, we asked Jackson what he wanted from Santa. Lucky for Santa, he said he wanted a BIG racecar!

Stay tuned for many more Christmas videos and pics. It was a big year! Russell said it was our best Christmas yet and I totally agree. Who would have thought that it would be more fun being the parent instead of the child? So amazing to see our angels filled with Christmas excitement!

Annabelle's First Christmas

We are getting so excited to celebrate Christmas because, this year, Jackson seems to understand what is going on. It will be such a blast to watch his sweet face light up on Christmas morning. Jackson has loved looking at Christmas lights, watching Polar Express and talking about Santa Clause. I try to remind him everyday why we have Christmas. He says it is "Baby Jesus's Birthday." With all of Jackson's excitement, it is easy to forget that this is Annabelle's first Christmas!

Thomas the Train finally on his track

Jackson found one of his Christmas gifts back in November. It was a Thomas the Train train track set. It was quite complicated to put together. After three tries, MOMMY finally figured it out. Jackson has been playing with just the train for the last month and was happy to finally get it going on the track. Annabelle and Daddy like watching the train go, too!
