School Pics

Last week, the kids had school pictures so I tried to take a few pics of them dressed up before we left for the day. Jackson was not at all interested but I did manage to snap a picture when he was trying to console Annabelle over the fact that mommy tried to put shoes on her. Needless to say, the shoes never made it to school that day! And, if you are wondering, Annabelle DID have a bow in her hair for the picture.

Red wagon walks and HAPPY 2 1/2 YEARS to Jackson!

I can't believe we officially have a 2 1/2 year old. Happy birthday to our sweet Boo! He has a special surprise today because his Cee is coming for a visit. I know he will be so excited to see her. Both of our babies have been loving their walks in the wagon lately, especially when we meet Cy at the park!

Octoberfest and Blue Sky

Miss Priss trying to get to the carnival game . . . and the bucket of candy!

Saturday, the kid's daycare had a Halloween carnival, Octoberfest. Jackson got to play some fun games, got lots of candy surprises and even got to ride a horse. Well, we tried riding a horse but Jackson was a little weary so he sat on the horse. Annabelle, on the other hand, had no fear.

Jackson's favorite game was digging dinosaurs out of a little sandbox. The teacher working the game was so impressed when Jackson was naming the different dinosaurs that he was digging out. Triceratops! I was a little surprised, too. I asked the teacher if he was naming them correctly. I thought for sure he was just shouting out random types of dinosaurs. After all, I don't know them! She said he was right. Such a smart boy!

After the carnival, we went to lunch at Blue Sky which has a huge sandbox for Jackson to play in. When we got there, he kept asking where the dinosaurs were. I guess we need to hide some of his toy dinosaurs in his sandbox at home. Who knew this game could be such fun!

Our little drama queen ~

Love these pics . . . minus the drool on the ribbon! Oh well, she's such a cutie even with the slobber spot!

Why didn't I think of that?

Over the weekend, a friend mentioned that she baked cupcakes with her little one. I haven't tried that, yet. So, I had Jackson help me make spaghetti. He did such a good job. Even better, he ate every bite. I guess it tastes better when you help create it. Looking forward to making many more meals with my little man!

Post meal, post bath snuggle!

You snooze, you lose

While Jackson napped on Sunday, Russell decided to go for a bike ride. We thought we would let Annabelle take her first ride in the bike trailer. As you can see, she loved it. She was so excited to hang with daddy. Good thing we picked out a bike trailer that can hold 2 kiddos! Can't wait for Jackson and Annabelle's first ride together!

Crawling . . .

Not yet but I think having a big brother is an incentive since sweet Annabelle is trying to keep up with him!

Playing chase

This is a super short video but I wanted to show Jackson and his new way of getting someone to play chase. He says "Daddy, you'd better run!" What he really means is "Daddy, come and get me!" If you don't react, he will repeat himself until you do. "You'd better run, you'd better run!" So stinkin cute!

Just us girls

Annabelle and I had some fun times Saturday afternoon while the boys napped.

Texas Tech game

We were very brave yesterday and took both kids to the Tech v Texas A&M game. I didn't get many pics since our hands were a little full! The kids did great. The temp started dropping and Miss Priss got tired of sitting still so we left after the first quarter but it was fun while it lasted.

Headed to the game . . . A little hard to get Jackson's attention with all the excitement going on.

Jackson's favorite parts of the game: the airplanes that flew over the stadium before the game and riding on the bus to and from the parking lots. He also got excited during the game and let out a few cheers. Guns up!

Headed home and happy about it. We were exhausted!
