Who dressed this child?
This is how Jackson came home from daycare one day last week. Red/blue/yellow striped onesie, tan pants, and bright green striped socks.
Hum . . . that is definitely not what he left in. Since Russell picked him up from daycare, I asked what happened. Guys are so funny. Russell didn't even notice that his clothes were different from what he wore, nor did he notice the blatant mismatched outfit.
Oh, this is life with my boys!

Happy St.Patrick's Day!
Jackson is having a Happy Day at home with mom. The daycare called this morning and he had a temp. He has had a temp off and on since Saturday along with a runny nose and a little cough. I had two court appearances this morning and I they had the potential to turn into long, contested hearings. Fortunately, things worked out and I was out of court and on my way to pick up the sick Boo Boo. Although Jackson is sick, he is in a great mood.
One of the attorneys I have been working with has a 14 month old daughter who had to go to the hospital with RSV and pneumonia. Scary stuff! So, keep them in your prayers. It just reminds us parents how quickly these little colds can turn into more. So, it looks like we will be home tomorrow since we need to be fever free for 24 hours before returning to daycare. (I know most people do not follow this rule but we try). We also need to get Jackson well once and for all!

Spaghetti!
I have been anxiously waiting the chance for Jackson to have some spaghetti. Tonight we finally tried it. To no surprise, he loved it. He always eats 100% of his lasagna and pizza at daycare so I knew he inherited some of my Italian influences! I was quite certain we would make a mess so I took his shirt off. Good thing, too. Do you see the noodle and tomato smudges on his chest?!?

A gorgeous March weekend followed by . . .
a snowy Monday. Strange! It started out cold and rainy and the noon weather mentioned that snow was being reported in Lubbock. I looked out the window and, sure enough, the flurries were pouring. It has been getting thicker ever since. I think everyone has seen enough snowy Lubbock pics . . . at least for this year!

A gorgeous March weekend means . . .
spring cleaning, BBQs and a playdate for Jackson. Yesterday we were invited to a BBQ by someone we met at the Texas Tech game a few weeks ago. They live a few streets away from us and have a little boy that is a few weeks younger than Jackson. We had a great time and Jackson got to make a friend. I didn't take too many pics but you can see Jackson and his new bud, Si (not sure if that is spelled correctly). Last night, we decided to have our own BBQ since the weather was amazing. We set Jackson up in the backyard and he happily played there for hours while we cooked and Russell cleaned off the back patio. We are super excited the warmer weather is arriving!

FIRST HAIRCUT, firetruck and first book from bookclub
So, it was a very busy day! Mom's group had a date at the fire station where the kids toured the station and took pictures by the truck. Very exciting for Jackson. Then, Jackson went to get his first haircut. It was a tough decision to get his haircut now but we really couldn't let it get much longer. The hairstylist did a great job. Jackson was really good, at first, but he got squirmy towards the end. The first two pics show his "after." Sorry they are out of order. After all the morning fun, Jackson got his first book in the mail from bookclub. We got a letter to mail out a book and send off the letter to six friends. It's like a chian letter. If you haven't gotten this letter and you have children, just wait. It's coming. Everyone is exchanging them. Nevertheless, Jackson got his first book and it was about wheels. Coincidentally, it had a tractor in it and he loves it! Needless to say, it has been an exhausting day!
