As you can see, we had a big time at Thanksgiving. Thanks so much to Cee for a great time. Don't you wish we had holidays more often!?!

How bout them Boys!
Well, we finally made it to the new Cowboys Stadium. I am so happy for Russell. Since the first kickoff in preseason, he has been waiting for the day he would be at one of the games. He was so excited, we got there extra early. We were at the stadium when the doors were open. Jerry Jones provides plenty of things to do with your time. You can eat, drink, check out the building, and do alot of shopping. Russell and I had to check out the two story pro shop. Thankfully, the Cowboys pulled out a last second victory over the Redskins and they are still leading their division.
We have to send out a huge thanks to Mrs.Karen and Todd who watched Jackson while we were at the game. We had such a great time at the game and I did not have to spend a second worrying about the Boo because I knew he was in great hands!
Today was a great way to kick off the Thanksgiving week!

Back to the doctor
This morning, Jackson and I went back to the doctor. Luckily, he is still a very healthy boy. We just needed to get our final Rota vaccine and the regular flu vaccine. Fortunately, the Rota is oral so we only had to get one shot. Unfortunately, we have to go back before Christmas for our swine flu and regular flu booster. This was our second trip to the Lubbock doctor and I am liking our doctor's office more and more.
Today, we meet a wonderful nurse, Robin. Even though we were there for vaccines she took lots of time to talk with us. She even gave us lots of samples to try on Jackson's skin. Jackson has had the prettiest skin. Recently, he developed a slight rash on his cheeks. I can't figure out if it is dry skin or an allergy to the weather or his new veggies. Anyways, we have two creams to try and if that doesn't work, Nurse Robin said to call her on Monday and she will call us in another cream to the pharmacy. Nurse Robin is also an amazing shot giver. She was so sweet before the shot and talked to Jackson. He was so calm when he got the shot, he only cried for about 5 seconds and he was totally over it. Yeah! I hope we get Nurse Robin next time. Does anyone know if you can request a specific nurse???

It's beginning to look alot like Christmas
Yep, it's beginning to look alot like Christmas at the Solomon house. We got out all the Christmas decorations this weekend. I actually thought I might not decorate the inside of the house this year since we are going to be out of town for most of the holidays. But, I broke down on Saturday morning, knowing that it would be my last weekend to decorate until Mid-December. Russell told me he was glad that I decided to decorate. I was surprised by this comment since he had to drag all 8 boxes out of the attic. (I don't know how I accumulated to many Christmas decorations.) I guess Russell is excited about the holidays this year. We both are. It is so much more exciting since we are celebrating the holidays with Jackson. We showed him some of the decorations and we were obviously more excited than he was. I have everything decorated except I have not put up the tree. I'll post pics once that mission is accomplished!

Animal Rescue Site
The Animal Rescue Site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily so they can meet their quota of getting free food donated every day to abused and neglected animals. It takes less than a minute (about 15 seconds) to go to their site and click on the purple box 'fund food for animals for free'. This doesn't cost you a thing.
Please pass this on to everyone. The website is www.theanimalrescuesite.com

Jumpin Jungle
Yesterday, Jackson and I met up with Mom's Group at Jumpin Jungle. Of course, he couldn't do any jumping but as you can see from the pics, he was amazed by all the activity. We watched all the other kiddos jump and he sat on the side of one of the jumpers. He was in awe pretty much the entire time. Towards the end, I put him on these mats where he made a little progress towards crawling. He got up on all fours and rocked back and forth. I wish we had those mats at home! Like I said, he was amazed the entire time so I had a tough time getting his attention for a good pic.

Whatever works
I was walking the babies yesterday and Maggie got tired a few streets away from the house. She was walking so slow. So, I picked her up and put her on top of the stroller. It worked really well, surprisingly. I thought she would fall off but Maggie loved cruisin' on top of the stroller. I am sure people driving by were wondering what on earth I was doing. Oh well, whatever works!

Sleepy boy(s)
Russell and I get a good laugh when we look at Jackson sleeping. He sleeps with his booty way up in the air. His white diaper looks particularly highlighted in the monitor which has the night vision. We just think it is hilarious.
I took the second pic yesterday morning. I went to cook breakfast and the two lazies dozed back off. How sweet!

It's That Time of Year
Season's Greetings! The holiday season has arrived. Yesterday I put up Halloween decorations, wrapped Christmas gifts and dressed Jackson in one of his Thanksgiving outfits. Just when I think I am up to speed, Russell tells me the neighbor is putting Christmas lights on the house and decorations in the yard. He wasn't joking! Last week, we had three ads put our door from companies who put up Christmas lights. We don't want to be the scrooge on the street so I guess I need to get some outdoor decorations . . .
In Jackson news, on Saturday, Russell put the big boy carseats in our cars. Here is Jackson trying it out on the way to church Sunday morning. He looks so small in the seat. It reminds me of how small he looked in his carrier when we brought him home from the hospital. We all know how he fills out that carrier now! I can't believe he will fill out the big boy carseat one day!
As for now, Happy Holidays!

Jackson's First Halloween
Halloween was a fun, busy day. During the day (between good football games) we ran a few errands. We stopped by Babies R Us to get Jackson his Halloween "treat." I know people will ask . . . we planned to dress Jackson up but frankly, we were too tired to get to it. Also, we weren't sure how many people would get to see him. I am going to keep the costume a secret until next year in case we decide to try it again. Here is Jackson and Russell resting up for an exciting night. Jackson and Russell passing out candy to the trick or treaters.
