Here is my girl trying some green beans. Notice Maggie is waiting to swoop in and get a lick off Annabelle's face. Gotta keep and eye on these two!

Critter Fest!

Saturday morning, we went to Critter Fest and we had fun! We saw all of Jackson's favorite things. Airplanes, choo trains and firetrucks. Bubbles. Dinosaurs, alligators, bunny rabbits, horses, camels, dogs and lots of small critters - from prairie dogs to turtles. Jackson loved Critter Fest. Can't wait to go back next year. Even sweet Annabelle had a good time.

Father's Day Festivites

We hope Russell had a great Father's Day. Amanda and I set up a babysitter and took Russell and Rick out to celebrate Saturday night. Sunday, Russell lounged with his baby girl and played with Jackson. Sunday night, we went to the Leach's for a Father's Day party. Jackson and Annabelle both had friends to play with. The baby girls were so cute and Jackson and Cy entertained everyone while playing in the pool. Those little boys are becoming such good friends and they had the best time.

I had planned a special Father's Day dinner for Russell before our plans to go to the Leach's so we did that on Monday night. I think it was a great Father's Day (or I should say several days)!

Sweet Baby Belle

A few new things . . .

Lately, I have been worried that Jackson may be afraid of sleeping in the dark, partly because he doesn't always like bedtime. I am probably overthinking it. Nevertheless, the thought of him possibly being scared is upsetting to me so I went out and got him a night light. Not just any nightlight but his new favorite thing - a motorcycle nightlight. He thinks it is great. Before bed, he gets to turn it on and he turns it off when he gets up in the morning. He feels so important. I also have Mr. Monkey sleeping in the bed with him for some company. It seems to be helping.

I also got him some kids gardening tools. Boy, was he excited about those. When he got them, Russell immediately took him outside so he could start digging. I forsee some messes but he is so happy, it's worth it!

We also want to wish Poppy a very Happy Birthday today!

Playdate

Last Sunday, we went to the Leach's for a cookout so Jackson and Cy had a fun playdate. These boys are so stinkin cute when they play together! I wish you could have seen them cruisin in the Cadillac. So sweet! As for Annabelle, she just has to watch for now. But, we are super excited that another Baby Boy will be added to the Leach clan come October. Boy, are we going to have some fun cookouts to come!

CIRCUS Saturday!

Saturday we went to the Circus. We had great seats on the 2nd row and we sat across the aisle from the Leach's. Jackson loved the circus and he has been talking about it ever since. He liked the horses, elephants and motorcycles. Afterwards, we went to eat Mexican food and then we came home to play on the playset with the neighborhood kids until 9:00 (well after bedtime)! Jackson had such a great day.
