Russell's new wheels

In the midst of the moving chaos, Russell got a new truck. He is very excited. For the past two years, he has been driving a gray Ford Escape. The Escape has been a little small for Russell and for the family trips. His new truck is a four door F-150. As for the color, it is not just red. We call it "CASE red."

Closing time

Today is a very big day for Russell and I. We are closing on our new home in McKinney, Texas. We are excited about the move and ready to get settled.






Here is a picture of the most important room in the house - the kitchen! I am excited to have stainless steel appliances and double ovens. Russell and I both like to cook and we are always having to coordinate the oven cooking temp for multiple dishes.




Finally, Maggie's favorite part of the house, the backyard. It is a nice backyard with plenty of room for Maggie to roam. Another bonus is the hot tub. Hopefully, we will be able to figure out how it works! Enjoy the pics and be sure to come visit!

South Padre pictures

Hey! Here are some pictures from our trip to South Padre. Here is the picture of Russell, as promised. He is riding the waves on a boogie board.

This picture was taken before we took a dolphin cruise. Since it was Memorial Day weekend we watched the fireworks from the boat. We saw lots of dolphins and the fireworks were great.

In the above picture, we were eating lunch in Mexico. We crossed the border to do a little shopping. Russell has crossed the border three times now and he said it was neat. He was right! They sell everything and at amazing prices. Russell got a wallet and I got sandals and several vases for our new house. Very cool!

Happy Memorial Day!

I hope everyone is having a great Memorial Day weekend. Russell and I joined my family in South Padre for some much needed stress relief. So far, we are having a great time. Saturday night, we took a sunset cruise to watch the Memorial Day fireworks and Sunday we crossed the border into Mexico for shopping and an authentic Mexican lunch. Yum! As soon as I learn to post pics, I will publish some cute ones. I got a great action shot of Russell riding the waves this afternoon!

As everyone knows, Russell and I are moving to McKinney, Texas in the next few weeks. This will be our fourth move since we have been married which has been less than three years! We lived in Jackson, MS; Austin, TX; Victoria, TX; and now, McKinney. It is quite a chore keeping in touch with everyone. So, we decided to create a blog. Hopefully, we will encourage our friends to do the same!
