Russell was reading the local newspaper today and he saw a UMC (the hospital were Annabelle was delivered) ad with Annabelle's picture on it. Two days after she was born she was in a commercial for the hospital. It has been airing for a few weeks now. But, we had no idea they were going to use her in their print ads, too.
If you want to check it out, go to the Lubbock Avalanche Journal on-line. Because it is on-line the ads alternate so you have to look for it. We are going to get a hard copy of the paper today for a keepsake. Needless to say, we are over the moon with our little star!

Little Poppy
Anyone who knows my dad, knows he is such a handyman. Well, Jackson totally takes after Poppy. He loves working on stuff and he is already a perfectionist - just like Poppy. Russell got a new tool box and storage shelves for the garage. Not only did Jackson go with Russell to Sears to pick it out but he also loved helping Daddy put it together.

All smiles at the park
On Wednesday, Jackson and I had another playdate with Amanda and Cy. Annabelle stayed home with daddy since he was working in the office that afternoon - probably a good idea since I had my hands full chasing Jackson around. He had a blast, as you can see. He loves the park. Amanda and I always say we'll stay about an hour and the time seems to get away from us. I guess we are having fun! Please ignore the socks and sandals. I couldn't find his tennis shoes and we were ready to go!

More weekend pics
Sunday, we went on our first family walk since Annabelle was born. Jackson started off with his usual duty - walking Maggie. He quickly decided he wanted to take over Daddy's job and push the baby in her stroller. At first he let Daddy help but he became too independent for that. He wanted to push the stroller all by himself. In the other pic, he was trying to help Mommy with her work! Such a sweet boy!

Saturday afternoon
Yesterday was a sunny but chilly day. In the morning, Russell took Jackson to wash the truck and they stopped by Sonic for a drink with a straw. You know, the straw is the most important part. Jackson was so excited to show me his drink when they got home that he tripped and fell when he was running toward me. His little drink cup (luckily just filled with water) broke. Sweet daddy emptied his tea out so Jackson could have his cup. As you can see the cup was a little big but Jackson didn't care. He drank out of it all day.
In the afternoon, a local winery was having a Mardi Gras party that was supposed to be a "family" event. When we got there they didn't have many activities for Jackson. He was ready for an exciting afternoon so I quickly thought about the mall playground. It is indoors and geared for small children. Jackson loved it. He found a red truck that was a slide. Since it was a truck and it was red, he kept calling it the firetruck. While we were there, we went to the pet store to check out the animals. Needless to say, he didn't want to leave. As for Annabelle, Russell and I forgot what it is like to have a newborn. We left the stroller at home! So, we toted her around. Russell held her while Jackson and I played. Next time, we'll remember the stroller!
